Magical

Many people still view outdoor lighting purely as a functional element. Functional in the sense of illuminating dark areas and enhancing safety. It’s unfortunate that it is seen this way, as proper outdoor architectural or landscape lighting can create the ultimate living experience. As a lighting artist, outdoor lighting means something more to me. It’s not only functional but also emotional. Consider how the sun positively affects your mood on a sunny day. The same effect can be achieved with outdoor lighting at night, whether you’re looking out at your yard or landscape, spending an evening on the patio, or sitting by the poolside. And it doesn’t stop there; the way I apply landscape lighting, I believe, adds value to every object.

A magical effect

Landscape lighting is the ultimate way to add atmosphere, warmth, and even magic to your outdoor experience, night after night, throughout the year. It is my passion to create a living artwork that surprises and delights every evening. For me, the yard or landscape is the canvas, the light is the oil paint, and the house frames it all.

Interplay of Light and Dark

When you look at my creations, it’s immediately noticeable that I achieve the wow-effect with as few lamps as possible. One of my clients compared me to Rembrandt, a Dutch master who used light and shadow to create the most fantastic compositions. This is beautifully evident in his most famous work, The Night Watch. Just as with Rembrandt, the visual element of chiaroscuro (the interplay of light and dark) is also expertly balanced in my light creations. I strive for this effect in all my works.
